Steve Forbes travelled to Portland, OR and announced his endorsement of Jim Huffman’s campaign to become Oregon’s next U.S. Senator.
The publisher and former presidential candidate’s public showing of support also included speaking at a fundraising event for Huffman.
Forbes championed Huffman as “the kind of individual we badly need in Washington.” He emphasized that Huffman is “doing this for the good of his state and of our country,” adding, “unlike Ron Wyden, Jim Huffman is not a career politician.”
Huffman was very pleased to have Forbes, a “nationally respected businessman who understands public policy,” taking his side in the Oregon Senate race. “This endorsement provides a huge boost to our campaign and gives us real credibility nationally,” said Huffman.
Jim Huffman is Oregon’s Republican nominee for U.S. Senate. He has taught constitutional law for 37 years at Lewis & Clark Law School where he also served as Dean for 13 years.
